Google will be on the mailing-toy, and with the Allo they throw themselves into battle against Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and Apple’s messaging service Imessage which recently got itself a real facelift including a private App Store.
The biggest jewel in the crown of Allo-gem is undoubtedly Google’s digital assistant, using artificial intelligence (KI/AI) to help you to find everything from flights to good restaurants. Without the need to leave the Allo.
And yes, it works partially good. Google’s assistant is emerging as both smarter and less stivbeint than Apple’s Siri. We got even a smilies from the assistant after a discussion about the right restaurantvalg See the examples on Allo in action in the video at the top of the case (16:36).
Currently, thrive it’s not something particularly with the English, and excuse themselves with: “Sorry, I do still and learn Norwegian. Than as long as I can search on Google for you”. Here it is just to brush the dust off their English.
When Google introduced the Allo on his utviklerkonferanse I/O in may, there was made a great point out of that Allo should use the corresponding end-to-end encryption that WhatsApp uses.
When the Allo is now being rolled out, it turns out that Google have chosen to ditch the encryption and all messages you type will be saved. There have been, among others, Edward Snowden to react vigorously, and on Twitter he warned against to download Allo.
the Reason for the encryption is dropped, according to Google that one has chosen to give priority to technology and the digital assistant on the beksotning of privacy. What we say, you can just probably choose a so-called incognito mode with encryption. The price you pay is the absence of functionality. Allo-app available for both Android and Ios.
