A little while ago we were able to announce that Samsung would delay sales of its new board mobile Galaxy Note 7, but without further comment from the company. In a recent press release, Samsung has now confirmed that sales temporarily halted.
The reason is that the company has received reports of problems with the batteries of the phone and is now in the process of conducting extensive investigations together with suppliers to identify the battery models are affected.

In an email to Tek.no tell Samsung that battery problems are due to a rare type of manufacturing defects that can lead to overheating of the batteries.
