[broom.no] The buying car is one of the biggest investments you do.
It is often a complicated trade, where reason and emotion must unite together with practical needs – and within a given budget.
In other words not only just …
The more important it is for automakers that the car corresponds to our expectations – which are often exorbitant – both in terms of technical quality, the perceived quality and not least in the practical, everyday usage.
American JD Power conducts some of the motoring world’s quality surveys and is regarded by many as almost “template” in this area.
Now they just come with the results of a large survey in which thousands of new car owners have given a thorough assessment of their car – having owned and run it for three years.
So a very relevant survey the approximately 350,000 used car buyers we have in Norway every year.
Many choose the happy a three- four year old car. Then it is new enough to be both modern and gladly offer most of new safety equipment. While the worst loss of value was taken.
Net income is somewhat predictable – while also offering surprises.
If we begin with the predictable, so it is hardly a big surprise that there is much Japanese top. Toyota Group makes grand slam and has three full marks inside the top 10.
Lexus, which is Toyota’s luxury brand and Scion are adolescents perceived their in the United States, making it very good. “Mother Award” is also not surprising among the best. Best of going there for Lexus: First place again!
But also Japanese Honda bites well away and are here on an honorable fifth.
Mercedes is one of two German brands and scoop eighth this time, but has been beaten by country brotherly Porsche with two spaces.
The surprise is that there are four American cars inside the leaderboard. Three of General Motors (GM). there is talk of Buick, Cadillac and Chevrolet, respectively second, fourth and tenth. While Lincoln sneaks into seventh place.
It is powerful up for the American brands, which obviously has done a solid lesson.
In 2012 it was namely only one American car inside the top ten . It was Cadillac eighth the time. While both Buick and Chevrolet at the time was far, far down the list.
in 2012 was also Audi and BMW to find on the leaderboard. In 2015 edition is the respectively 15th and 19th place.
Other Norwegian favorites like VW and Volvo do not particularly good in this survey.
We must completely down at 22th place to find VW, while Volvo’s even two spots further down. (ANB)
