San Francisco (ITavisen:) Mark Zuckerberg stood on stage during this year’s developer event Facebook F8. We were there.
Messenger Platform
The biggest news for consumers, at least so far, is Messenger Platform. Just as rumored a few days before the exhibition start, Facebook has opened up Messenger for developers, initially handpicked developers.
A .gif extension to Messenger is the first to be revealed. You can preview gif one before sending it to a Messenger contact.
Not revolutionary, but funny enough. We believe there will be a bunch of extensions. 600 million people are the active Messenger each month.
The new apps can (40 total) to make use of already claimed Facebook, but we have not seen anything to feature yet.
Security
While the company introduced extensions, they have also opened the Facebook platform so that all types of apps can easily communicate with Facebooks own, and equally important:
Facebook has partnered with other major technology company to make its platform, including against spam attacks.
As Zuckerberg pointed out in connection with last year’s spam attacks as hackers used the time other companies its platforms to attack Facebook.
Package Tracking Messenger
Another very useful extension is the ability to get package alerts delivered directly to Messenger. It is of course up to the online shop to implement this extension on his website.
You will be able to follow how the package is a real-time map. All information between buyer and shop stored in a Messenger conversation.
Shopping Experience looks like a personal conversation. The service launched in a few weeks in the United States.
Developers can already start today at messenger.com/platform.

Facebook at all, and everywhere
Facebook also introduced its own Internet of Things SDK called Parse (blog.parse.com). In the future you will be able to open the garage door using Facebook.
Another novelty that goes straight into the throat of Google is Facebook Embedded Video Player. The name is self-explanatory: The new player makes it easy to implement videos from Facebook on their website. Embedded Video Player is available now.
