Arts fisherman took Sunday afternoon a halibut at 161.6 kg in Trondheim Fjord.

– I screamed and cried when it came to the surface and I saw how big it was, says Bjorn Floro Larsen.

Floro Larsen is an active arts fisherman and Sunday afternoon he was out on the Trondheim Fjord to fish for halibut. When Ruggen bet on he realized at once that it was halibut he got off the hook.

So began the fight to get the giant fish to the surface.

– I had to put all my weight on the rod to try to tire it out. After fifteen minutes I had not managed to budge on halibut in all. I exited the body and used it my strength to keep the fish, telling Floro Larsen.

– I’ve never seen a so great halibut. It was the sickest of the sick when it came up. We stood there in thundered and screamed and screamed. It was a powerful experience, says Floro Larsen.

They tried to get the hook out of the mouth of halibut to drop it off again, but it had swallowed it too far that it was possible. Floro Larsen and his friend also had to fight to get the giant fish into the boat.
