Moen Marin boat in research service – Trønder-Avisa

The boat, which is a toskrogs construction by Moen Marins NabCat 1350 design, has been named Bjørnefjell.

The boat will assist LetSea AS in its efforts to acquire new knowledge and insights for sustainable growth of aquaculture, according to a press release from Moen Marin.

112 attempts cages

LetSea aS, until 2015 known as Helgeland Havbruksstasjon, has since 2001 evolved to become a significant research station and contributor in applied research.

LetSeas research station is one of the nation’s entire 112 attempts cages. The station is licensed for both salmon, trout, cod, and it takes almost continuous attempt these three species.



Increases activity

Over the last four years, the company increased R & D activities significantly, tenfold revenue. The company had 2015 revenue of 212.2 million against 19.7 in 2012. Profit before tax increased in the same period from 1.3 million in 2012 to 14.3 million in 2015.

Bear Mountain is 13, 50 meters long and 7.5 meters wide, and is equipped with two John Deere engines with a total power output of 750 horsepower.
