Is this PlayStation 4 Slim console real? – Gamer.no

Over the weekend it appeared some photos of a thinner version of the PlayStation 4 on auction website Gumtree. Polygon snatched up the case, contacted the seller on the auction site, and turns giving him a few extra pictures to spend. Auction record has since been taken down.

The question now is whether this “Slim” release of PlayStation 4 is true or not. In recent months we have seen some very credible “leaks” that has proven to be a lie – most sensational Nintendo NX controller as many games sites was fooled by. When there was talk of a 3D printed hand controls, designed just for tricking internet.

Some of the pictures show the math console that packed out of the box, while other images show the console along with a regular PlayStation 4 to show the relationship between them. If the photos are real, it looks as if the new version of the console loses optical audio but retain the network port, and port for the PlayStation Eye camera. In addition, there are two USB inputs on the front of the console.

Sony has so far not commented on the pictures, so until further notice, it is probably wise to take all this with a pinch of salt.

Ceremony in September?

If this new PlayStation 4 variant is true, we expect that it will be unveiled during Sony’s New York event on September 7. There is also expecting that we will attach your eyes on the more powerful variant of the console that goes under the codename PlayStation 4 Neo. Rumors of the more powerful console has been one of the biggest gaming news the last six months.

Microsoft is also helping upgrade the race. In summer unveiled the Xbox One S at the opening of its E3 conference and concluded by announcing Project Scorpio – which they called “the most powerful console on the market.” When Sony had already admitted a few days in advance that they were working on an upgraded version of PlayStation 4.

Our commentator thinks: More powerful versions of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is on the way and that’s good for console gamers “
