WSJ: Several Note 7-phones had a battery with the wrong size – ITavisen.en

More information about why everything went wrong with Samsung’s top of the range.

Monday came Reuters with a report on why Note 7-the launch ended in fire and flame. The conclusion was, not surprisingly, the battery problems.

Employees independent experts
the Wall Street Journal has published an article with further information about the Note 7-problems. According to the newspaper employees Samsung three independent companies for quality control and analysts from the supply chain to carry out the investigation.

These companies have concluded two different errors for Note 7.

Two conclusions
The first applies to entities that have used batteries from a Samsung subsidiary Samsung SDI. According to the investigation, did not match those batteries properly in the phone which led to overheating and, in some cases, explosions.

The second applies to “production problems” that came after increased pressure on the hong Kong-based manufacturer Amperex Technology. When the first reports of battery failure appeared, thought Samsung that it concerned some specific devices. Therefore, they increased orders from Amperex.

Samsung has not confirmed these reports. This coming Sunday, the company will even publish the result of the investigation.
