iOS 10.3 is a very exciting update thanks to the transition to Apple’s new file system.

Updated 20:34

Here are the iPad Air 2-the numbers from our test (A8X chipset @ 1.5 Ghz three-core – 64-bit):

iOS 10.2.1

  • start-up time: 52 seconds
  • GeekGench 4 CPU-test: 1806 enkjerne – 4175 multicore

iOS 10.3

  • start-up time: 34 seconds
  • GeekGench 4 CPU test: 1781 enkjerne – 4191 multicore

Exciting launch
file System is made for the bottom of the to be kjappest possible on iOS devices, as well as MacOS. Apple have done a lot of groundwork to increase performance and probably battery life, it is not just-just to create a new file system.

Now has a YouTube channel iAppleBytes compared to the first 10.3-beta (anyone can test), compared to 10.2.1 – how big of a difference is it?

have you found out
ITavisen readers president soap and Waffa Baffa has this to say:

iOS update made my iPhone 7 is noticeably faster. Usually by the kind of updates I usually like to think that it is pure placebo effect, but it here is an exception. I figured it has something with the new file system to do.”

While Waffa Baffa was not so lucky:

Strange. My update did that I got a lot more stuttering in the animation when I open and close apps, while ios 10.2 was buttery smooth. Have 6s plus then.

Slightly better performance and oppstartstider
Let us then take a look at what iAppleBytes have found out. For the first launch of the phones faster: Around three seconds faster on an iPhone 6s, and up to seven seconds faster on the iPhone 5 (this model scores less on GeekBench is a CPU test than 10.2.1, perhaps due to the fact that it is 32-bit).

Also 3DMark starts a little faster with 10.3. Lesehastighetene is improved, which explains this. Also GeekBench figures are a little higher with iOS 10.3 (2520 vs. 2524 a-CPU test, the iPhone 6s).

keep in Mind that the developers haven’t optimized for the new system yet, so it is the more to fetch.

It will be very exciting to see how much more Apple can squeeze out of future beta versions of 10.3. We keep you up to date.
