This impressed Trond Bie most with the iPhone 10 years ago – ITavisen.en

(Comment): the Start of something incredible.

When the iPhone was launched in 2007 I worked for the Ergo Group (which for the longest time is Evry). I was not aware Apple. In fact, I had never used a Mac, but I got the with me that there should happen something big during an Apple press conference.

You did not need to be a Mac user to get with him that something big was on time
for a long time before the unveiling there had been rumors about a phone from Apple. Apple, a company that has never had a mobile before, when Nokia and the other was on top – for to say it mildly, there were many who had not the faith… to Steve Jobs entered the scene in January 10 years ago and showed us the future.

For Jobs figured the thing: it’s worth It to be rid of the physical keyboard in favour of a large screen that covered almost the entire front of the device – a unheard of big screen was 3.5 tommerne the time.

A real smartmobile
What impressed the most during the performance was:

1. It could display web pages just like a desktop machine could (at least that was a 1:1 copy of a desktop machine when you saw how bad the competition did it).

2. How incredibly soft and comfortable it looked to navigate around in your phone with the bungee effect when it came to the end of a website, and the amazing multi-touch was, and this on a device as, in retrospect, was revealed was not even close to being lanseringsklar. 9. January was the showcase for the first time, but in the sale it was not before 29. the June the same year.

the Camera had also, without that it was what I was most excited about, it was access to the real web, not WAP crap. The 2MP camera was also, of course, miserable in relation to what is being offered today, and it was not a time camera in the front.

You need only an iPhone
It helped also that this was the first all-in-one machine that worked. Thus, it could browse and play the music for you.

Those of you who are old enough remember the dream of having one device for both of these things, and not having to carry another MP3 player and a portable computer. At the time, it was soon many kg to go with him.

the Competition was not near
There were the other manufacturers called “smartmobiler” at the time (aimed at the job), but all those of you who tried an early Qtek model (which later became HTC), know well that they worked poorly. The screen was much smaller, they had the physical keyboard and the OS one was a nightmare in use (early Windows Mobile).

I remember I had the first Qtek model with WiFi, and I think managed to connect me to the WiFi-web on your one of every ten attempts. When it connected there was not enough power to surf without the drag of hårmanken.

I saw me never to return after 3GS
I can’t guarantee it, but I think the first model I got was a 3GS, in the summer of 2009. Apple’s focus with the 3GS was performance (twice as much RAM as the 3G: 256MB – ridiculous in today’s context where the 3 and 4GB is the norm at the largest), and it was really a lot faster: It was at least that to go from 4 to 4s.

The first model was only launched in the united STATES, and a importgreie had cost too much in relation to the wage level my the time. But as more and more norwegians grey-import, heard amazing things about the product.

What is next on the plan?
Phil Schiller is probably right when he says that it is not innovations in the industry that has stopped, but rather what we require and expect after a violent innovasjonstakt the first few years especially in regards to performance, but there is also no doubt that Apple has not dared, or seen the point in making major changes with the iOS, called iPhone OS in several years before the iPad was launched.

There is still a hjemskjerm with icons, free for widgets that Android had, you can’t do as you want in the OS, but then it is also not the way that its competitors have made changes that have proven to be required in regards to the interface.

Retina was really cool
Improvement that gave me the most wow factor was the introduction of the Retina-panel with the iPhone 4 having an iPhone was absolutely horrible. To say the least was not Siri-the launch of the 4s as “mindblowing”.

What I want going forward is a more advanced iOS for the iPad, something I’ve talked about several times in the past.

It is not good to know what Apple is thinking about MacOS and iOS. Will these two be reunited, or will iOS slowly but surely to approach MacOS, in each case on the upcoming iPad Pro models?

What should they do to continue the competition with Surface and ChromeOS?
Exciting, it is without a doubt now that Microsoft is running Windows 10 on ARM, and Google increases the fokset on ChromeOS.

Also, it is an annoyance to Apple that they have to wait on Intel cpus, the chips that do not get much better each year – on the contrary, the opposite is the truth with the iOS-pieces that look fierce improvements each year.
