Why spend time downloading the installation files when you with a simple command and enter key finished?

No to installation wizards
Chocolatey is a system that downloads and installs programs for you in the background while doing something else entirely.

You do not worry that the installation stops because it waits for a mouse click.

Try also Ninite and learn about the differences between the two.

Simple as
To install Chocolatey.

Remember Chocolatey prompt must have admin rights to function. This is easy:

Create a shortcut to the desktop to cmd.exe, right click on it and run as administrator.

For the installation of Chrome, just type “ choco install Google Chrome “, then done the whole job for you in the background – lovely, and much more elegant than visiting the download page with another browser and hit next to a bunch of dialog windows.

As if this was timesaving enough, you can update all the software you installed with Chocolatey by typing “cup all” or update a single application with “cup package name.”

To uninstall type “chocolatey uninstall package name.”

Remember this
You must make sure that the package name (example: “Google Chrome”) is entirely appropriate that Chocolatey will find the program for you: this is simple:

Write “choco search application name.”

You can also find a database in 2000 supported programs here so you have to search in the command prompt.

Package functionality as this becomes deeper integrated into Windows 10′s PowerShell, but to tens fully developed in about eight months, this is a nice solution.
