Microsoft Norway announced today that Ingjerd Blekeli Spiten been appointed deputy managing director of the company. Spiten comes from a position as Vice President of eBusiness DNB. She has since 2011 been responsible for the overall corporate digital initiative. She has also held key positions related to the development of the bank’s mobile and Internet banking. Before joining DNB in 2007, she was employed by Ericsson for ten years. There she was responsible for, among other mobile payment in the Nordics and Baltics.
Microsoft will Spiten be responsible for product management, daily operations and marketing. She holds an MBA from BI.
– I’m really looking forward to being a part of the Norwegian Microsoft team and using my experience to further facilitate its platforms and services for Norwegian customers, says Spiten.
– Microsoft Norway is also named Norway’s best workplace for many years in a row and I’m excited to go into a central leadership role with so many talented people around me says Spiten.
– Spit experience and background fits very well into Microsoft’s strategy where mobility and cloud solutions are central, says CEO Michael Jacobs Microsoft Norway.
– Spiten will help strengthen the Norwegian leadership team further and we are very happy to have her on the team, he said.
Today it is John Henrik Andersen, who is Deputy Managing Director of Microsoft Norway, a position he has held since last year. Christine Chorus, communications director of the company, told digi.no that there is no drama in this replacement.
– John Henrik joins us on, but in a different role in the company, says Chorus. But the company is not yet ready to tell what kind of role this is about.
