Facebook launched a little before Christmas his pictorial cavalcade enumerating user highlights throughout the year on Facebook. The firm has used a unique algorithm for each user showing photos, status updates and the like from the year went on.
Many people have shared their year on Facebook with their friends, but for some it was directly inappropriate. It writes the Washington Post.
The app was marketed titled “It has been a fantastic year. Thank you’ve been a part of it. ” But for some users have been 2014 a difficult year. For many, the app has been a reminder of that.
There have Eric Meyer, an American writer, bitten mark. He lost his six year old daughter this year. In his blog, he went out and told how ghastly he seems such an app was.
Now, Facebook has given Meyer an official apology. Facebooks product manager, Jonathan Gheller, made contact with Meyer and regretted what had happened.
– The app was cool for many users, but in this case it was just sad and unfortunate. It brought sorrow rather than happiness, says Gheller Washington Post.
