Apple can remove the headphone output – NRK

In recent days there have been rumors that Apple will remove the headphone jack on its next iPhone, which is planned to be launched by summer next year.

It is the Japanese blog Macotanaka who first reported that American company wants to remove the 3.5 millimeter wide jack input on the phone.

It should happen because Apple wants an even thinner phone and that it is not possible to achieve with the 3, 5 millimeters large opening at the bottom.

Headphones, according to the US site Mashable instead plugged into the charging port or wirelessly via Bluetooth. The Verge and 9to5Mac also writes about the rumor.

Error focus

Technology Adviser in NRK, Eirik Solheim, has also been joined by the rumors and is puzzled that Apple has such a huge focus to get to an even thinner phone.

– I do not know anybody who complain that their iPhone is too thick, but rather that the battery is not good enough, he says, and continues:

– I wonder why they are so busy over the thickness of the phone. I think it seems like the battery is a much bigger problem.

Solheim is unsure whether there are such rumors, since Apple is a company that is surrounded by rumors continuously.

– It is very early to comment on rumors about the next version, he said.
