An American group dishes mass lawsuits against Apple.

It’s not just Spotify goes into the new year with a lot of litigation hanging over it.

A group led by Chaim Lerman, with over 100 members, claiming that Apple deliberately destroyed older iPhone models with iOS 9. The group requires $ 5 million, some 40 million in damages.

According to Lerman, who has an iPhone 4s , was not Apple clear enough on what negative consequences it would have to upgrade older devices.

group writes in the lawsuit that the units were significantly slower after the upgrade. They report on delays in touch response, slow startup apps and general problems in all aspects of mobile performance data.

In addition, they claim that Apple knew about the problems of this upgrade, but continued to advertise the upgrade as significantly better than previous iOS version.

“Plantiff and other members of the mass action was forced to buy new smart phone as the only alternative to a slow and destructive device,” writes the group.
