Today, your iPhone new – Avisa Nordland

Finally, talk Siri Norwegian.

From September 16, Apple’s latest update of the operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod ready for launch. With iOS 9 comes a variety of news, but who may want to get the most say in the daily lives of Norwegians is that voice assistant Siri now understand Norwegian.

page3 has beta tested iOS 9 through the summer, and this time it some positive news we have held our attention through weeks of testing. Here is the news we think people will appreciate:

SIRI UNDERSTAND NORWEGIAN

Under its major autumn launch underlined Apple how important they believe voice control technology will come. For years, other countries enjoyed (and some frustration) of the digital voice assistant Siri to iPhone and iPad, and finally understand she also Norwegian.

And once she does, it’s almost forgotten how long it has taken – she understands namely superb Norwegian. As long as a talking pretty clearly, it is rare that Siri misunderstand the message.

It is only when one begins to use Siri in everyday life that one understand the benefits of it all, but here’s a practical example: You are in traffic jams on the way home, and see that you get a little too late for dinner. Instead of fishing up the phone, take the risk of authoring a text message while attempting to follow the road, you can now keep your home button Siri is activated, and say something like, “Tell your wife that I will be a half hour delayed “.

Siri has learned which of your contacts are the wife and author a text message. Then she asks if you are ready to send it, and you only need to answer with a “yes” or “ok”. Then you can say “play anything by Led Zeppelin” and congestion becomes much easier to cope with …

Do you have mobile phone connected to the power in the car, you do not need to touch it at all, but activates Siri by saying “Hi Siri”.

It’s fun to ask what is the meaning of life, but when one can now begin to ask Siri about the way home, when the next bus goes, or whether we need an umbrella in the morning, she begins actually to have a central role in everyday life.

ALWAYS BACK TO WHERE YOU RELAX

In our opinion Siri on Norwegian the biggest news that will play a role in everyday life, but also another detail makes use of your phone more convenient.

When the iOS 9 clicks on a link in an email or article, or a button in an app, you will now see choice “Back to …” in the upper left corner of the screen. Click here and you’re back where you left off. It’s just a minor detail, but the world so much we use it.

SHORTCUTS WHO KNOWS WHAT YOU WILL

One of the smarter things Apple has added to iOS 9, is “proactive” technology that suggest applications and content based on where you are and what time of day.

These speed dials are available by swiping the screen you have the far left. During the day, I use many apps regularly, but when it’s time to relax on the couch with a TV series, I always find the app to remove control Apple TV among Accelerators. Practical.

multitasking IPAD

Another big news is of course the opportunity to share the screen of your iPad between two apps.

You swipe from the right side of screen and choose which app to be number two, and whether it should take half the screen or just a third.

upward adjustment of the “MEMO”

“Notes” is in our opinion one of the more underrated embedded apps on iPhone. There is a notebook where you can scribble down things you need to remember in a hurry or ideas you save on. A quick and simple app, which “just there” when you need it.

In iOS 9 Apple has finally updated it with some convenient features. You can for example add pictures to text, but we’ve used most is the ability to draw. Which simultaneously means that you can write with your index finger.

You can also make lists of checklists (tip: shopping list).

BETTER BATTERY LIFE?

Apple has promised that iOS 9 should be kinder to the battery on the iPhone. We have not noticed any particular degree through beta testing. However, what has been added is a pilot light mode.

When you have 20 and 10 percent remaining battery charge, the phone asks now whether to enable the pilot lights mode to sprare power. That system reduces visual effects, fail to retrieve e-mail, and turns off background updating apps and automatic downloads until you get charged again.

We hope strictly that Apple’s promise of more battery life is anything other than this somewhat inelegant solution, but it is in any case an emergency solution that works in a pinch.

How to update TO IOS 9

The easiest way to update your iPhone and iPad is to first make a backup of the contents via iCloud (if this is not done automatically), and there after downloading the update wirelessly directly to the device.

When the update is available, you can find it by going to Settings – & gt; General – & gt; Update , and follow the instructions. To download iOS 9 must be connected to a wireless network.
