How your body reacts when you drink Pepsi Max – P4 Radio Hele Norway ASA

In recent years there has been confusion about aspartame and other artificial sweeteners, which is used in light soda Pepsi Max.

Now turn however Norwegian health authorities fixed once and for all, that aspartame is not dangerous.

– It made a number of risk assessments in the EU, and in the last assessment was again concluded that aspartame is not harmful to health in the quantities we consume, says senior researcher at the Institute of Public Health, Trine Husøy TV2.

She adds that there are a lot of research data on the sweetener, and the whole show that aspartame is not dangerous. The conclusion is thus that there is something special happens with the body when Pepsi Max drunk.

EU agency for food safety, EFSA, is among those who have confirmed that aspartame is safe at normal levels – the same, the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food Safety.

According to TV2, nevertheless chose PepsiCo earlier this year to remove aspartame from Pepsi Light, which is not sold in Norway, following pressure from groups who believe that aspartame does cause including brain tumors, sleep deprivation and mood swings.
