Cecilie Gjerde from Vikedal received NOK 25,000 in travel vouchers when she won Researcher Grand Prix this weekend.
Vindafjord: Cecilie Gjerde from Vikedal is a specialist in oral surgery and have researched their way to use stem cells to build a new jaw bone in people who have lost their teeth . She is part of a research group at the University of Bergen.
Under Researcher Grand Prix at the weekend she went to the top. She now hopes hype can lead to more money for research group.
– The main thing was to make research known. Now we have no more money and need financing. I hope that someone sees the potential that we may put Norway on the world map, says Gjerde to Radio 102. The whole interview you can hear here.
