Support for the external hard drive and more coming to PS4 – Gamereactor Uk

a few weeks ago, we could tell that you had the opportunity to the upcoming system update for the Playstation 4, and now we know some of the goodies that come with the finished version. Spoiler: there are a few things many people have requested.

One of the most notable is the ability to save your files on an external hard disk up to 8 TB. All the files will then be clearly set out so placed that you can easily transfer the files you want.

We will also have an opportunity to make our own wallpapers to the home screen. For example, you can use a nice screenshot, edited or not. At the same time you can make a number of changes on the font and symbols so that they fit better with the image you choose.

the context Menu will now take up less space on the screen, and allows you to now go through the various Party functions in the Online Friends section so you don’t have the extra Party app.

Some of you have also shared the frustration their notifications list, something Sony has been joined. All notifications will now be in one and the same list, at the same time as you now have more freedom to choose what you’re notified about.

social media Sharing is very popular with many, and Sony has thought to delight those of you who like to see what happens. Now you will be able to post messages directly in the Activity Feed-a as now exists in several places, including “What’s New”. Here you will now be able to post messages, screenshots, and gif-are directly in the Activity Feed. You can also tag games or other uses to be sure that they see it.

This goes hand in hand with that Live from PlayStation will show screenshots brukerer has uploaded to PSN as a public activity. So you will be able to share things you are proud of with the whole world.

Playstation VR owners also get an extra treat. The update will in fact make it possible to watch 3D movies in stereoscopic 3D in the headset.

This is just some of the features that come with the update, and get to know more about them and the actual launch in a few weeks. We know that Playstation 4 Pro owners will also get a real treat, so here it is just to follow.

What new feature do you like best?
