It is not to talk about a new plugin, but the fact that Apple has listened to their tilbehørsprodusenter who want support for “Ultra Accessory Connector” (or “UC-E6″ as Nikon calls standard) in Apple’s MFi-application – UAC-the standard is not new.

This makes the matter a little more positive, even if we had wanted that Apple went all in on USB C, and not the fact that we now end up with three plugs also in the Apple universe.

Space-saving
The new plug is to be used to connect accessories to the iPhone and iPad, and comes in certain cases to replace the USB C and Apple’s own Lightning standard. A utviklertest of the largest manufacturers have already started through the MFi program.

the Goals is 2,05 mm x 4,85 mm. The link has 8 contact points, and is slightly thinner than the USB C, and half as wide as the USB C and Lightning, on the way saving much needed space. Plug reminiscent of the micro-USB.

Confusing until we get to know more
UAC-the link is both he and she, and can also be used on headphones (confusing since Lightning headphones just start to pop up at the same time Beats by Dre use in fact a slightly larger micro-USB already. It is not good to understand).

So we don’t really the point of this, or the fact that Apple not only uses USB C on everything, but we follow the developments in the case to find out exactly what Apple contrive on, and what is the point of yet another proprietary solution.
