In the wake of nintendo’s other big Switch presentation, which was held in January of this year, many asked themselves critical to the initial games line-up is announced for the console. the Criticism has not gone unnoticed by Nintendo, and under the company’s latest finansrapport defended president Tatsumi Kimishima lanseringsplanene.

Will release new games more often

According to Kimishima will Nintendo release new games more frequently, rather than to give out too many games at the same time to Switch. This formed the background for the choice of lanseringsstrategi for the upcoming console:

Our thinking when we put together lanseringsplanene for the games in 2017, was that it is important to be able to offer new games regularly without long stay. This encourages consumers to continue with active use of the machine, maintains the tension and will lead to a progress in the sales of the Nintendo Switch, explained Nintendo president.

Further told Kimishima that game with focus on multiplayer, ARMS and Splatoon 2, to be launched later in the year to make sure that the console gruppechatfunksjon works as it should.

Should not go in the same trap as the Wii U

Kimishimas statements match up with similar comments provided by Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé in January. In an interview with GameSpot told Fils-Aimé Switch will not go in the same trap as the Wii U because the console will get a steady stream of good games.

the Nintendo Wii U had 23 lanseringsspill in 2012, but the console’s life was characterized by the long gap between the launch of new titles. This, combined with a variety of other reasons, led to that the Wii U sold worse than any other Nintendo console, and the machine was recently taken out of production.

Time will tell if the Switch makes it better than its predecessor.
According to our writer is Nintendo at least on the right path “
