Game: One game, boosts performance by 38 percent.

When the PlayStation 4 Pro got a “Boost Mode” in the 4.5 beta, it was said that it could give modest increases in frame rate in some upatchede games, but some times the performance is dramatically better.

Digital Foundry have now spent a few days on to run the game through the new “Boost Mode” and is ready with the verdict.

Good for games that don’t hit the target
In most of the games are ytelsesøkningen moderate, while other games that doesn’t quite hit the performance goals before now works perfectly.

Battelfield 4 its online matches with 64 players, for example, was known to put a damper on performance, but with the “Boost Mode” turned on so they a marked improvement.

Assassins Creed Unity was also previously known as a skills steven hirschfeld with bildefrekvenser down in the 22-24 of images in the seconds in the heavy areas, but now running the game stable at 30 fps all the time.

Project Cars makes it very good
But it is first and foremost games that are not locked to a specific frame rate and upatchede games – games that are not updated for the PlayStation 4 Pro – shines in “Boost Mode.”

Project Cars using both open frame and is upatcher, and here they saw an increase in frame rate at 38 per cent in the heaviest of stress-tests to Digital Foundry.

Otherwise, 14 percent improvement
The other games they tested got but an increase in frame rate of about 14 percent in “Boost Mode,” which is the same percentage of the increase in clock frequency between the PlayStation 4 and the Pro variant.

This would indicate that they get good advantage of the extra prosessormusklene in the machine, but not access to the 18 extra video card-devices – then the game must be patched.
