None of us like price increases, and I realize that candidates are not satisfied with the new fees. But I think the explanation for the increase is good.
I am concerned that everyone should have the opportunity to complete secondary education, and that everyone should get a second chance if they need it. But I think it is not unreasonable that those who take up again the examination several times pay it costs.
Until now, they have used the money to the rest of the education system. We believe there should be a better correlation between the candidate fee and what it actually costs to arrange exam.
Another problem we have seen, is that there are many of them who join up, do not take exam anyway. Approximately one in four do not show up, and this means that society throws away money on such hire local and invigilators.
It is also important to emphasize that there is still such that it costs less if the student has not taken or passed the subject before, and students also have the right to take another free exam at their school if they fail.
We will continue to have a good candidate scheme, which provide new opportunities to those who wish to improve their grade, but I think it is right that those who take up the exam several times pay any more of what it actually costs.
