This has to say about the scandal.

Friday, 20. February 2015 – 5:53 p.m.

When we called Gamalto Norway in the morning hours today was the response from giant company that they not had Norwegian operators SIM card customers. This is not true.

NetCom bought SIM cards from Gemalto
from NetCom we now hear that they have been customers.

This means that NetCom customers, and possibly Telenor (we have not received a reply from them yet), uses a SIM card which in theory can be accessed by American and British intelligence.

TeliaSonera, which owns NetCom, has the following comment to Gemalto issue:

“The information about hackete sim card is naturally very disturbing. We will of course follow this up internally to see if it could in any way connected to TeliaSonera.

Gemalto is the world’s largest suppliers of SIM cards, and we also bought a SIM card of them.

As part of our investigation we come naturally to contact Gemalto.
Security and integrity of our customers is our highest priority. We work constantly to improve it so that customers can feel safe.

Hacker Attacks – whether they be directed towards mobile phones, SIM cards or network – is a social problem that we, together with other actors and authorities must always fight.

We believe that all exercise of authority, in all countries, must be in accordance with the law, and that the scope and methods must be transparent. “
