Financial support to research enterprises – Beautiful weather

Kvaerner Stord and Velde Industry gets millions in support of the Research Council.

STORD / SANDNES: 181 research firms in Norway applied for financial support from the Research Council.

There is an increase of 33 percent compared to last time, says CEO Research Council Arvid Hallén, in a press release.

50 of 181 enterprises received the application approved. 532 million to be shared between them.

Among these Kvaerner Stord and Velde Industry at Sandes.

– We need more research being done on the shop. These projects will provide new products and services in new business, and restructuring and renewal in the established, says economics minister Monica Mæland, in the press release.

The money comes from the Research Council program for business, User-driven Innovation (BIA). On average, get each project NOK 11 million spread over four years.

The projects receiving BIA money can help ensure that their results can create new jobs in Norway.

– Norwegian corporate giants in the demanding world championships every day. We must have the best solutions. Through the strong commitment the government has in research and innovation, we are gearing businesses to face competition, says Mæland.
