Along with the Consumer Council, they surveyed a number of Norwegian apps, including money transfer service flicks.

they discovered that DNB app sends notice to Facebook every time a user opens tilt app, regardless of whether the user have a Facebook account or not.

– We do not know what information is in the ID code sent to Facebook, but it could be much, says Pultier.

– Especially on important areas such as banking and finance, must be able to have a Facebook-free zone, says technical director Find Myrstad Consumer Council.

– No matter what information they share, it is especially that they do it. We have not found any references to it in privacy terms, so here we had needed a more thorough explanation of DNB says Myrstad.

SVP Even Westerveld DNB rejects that tilt parts identifiable information about users with Facebook. He says this is reminiscent of so-called “cookies” that most sites use, and makes it possible to customize ads to different audiences.

– Those who already use flicks, should not have to get publicity for this on Facebook, says Westerveld.

– We are pleased that the Consumer Council dishes spotlight on privacy apps, but just at this point we see that the conclusion drawn in a somewhat faulty basis. We are keen to preserve the privacy of our customers, says Westerveld.

He said that the information is encrypted, so that Facebook can not see what use of those in question. Nevertheless, they get placed advertising in those who have not tilt.

Are you completely sure that Facebook does not misuse the information?

– Yes, we are absolute. They can not take out identifying information about tilt customers or what people are doing inside the app, says Westerveld.

– Should educate

– It may be all right that they share this information for publishing those without lashes, but when would they disclosed it in terms its says Myrstad Consumer Council.

He is skeptical that Facebook has a lot of information about people, about the Facebook users and people who have no profile there.
