New Land: Much faster than we thought possible – ITavisen.no

San Francisco (ITavisen:) We have already tested cheap -Surface, the new threes with Intel Atom and 2 or 4GB of RAM.

How is it
We took a visit to a Microsoft Store in San Francisco city and tested the new hybrid, and compared with the Pro model.

The biggest difference is the size exterior: New Land 3 has a 10.8 “screen, while the brother has a 12″.

Apart from this they are identical on the outside, it is almost impossible to tell the difference.

Still much frame
It is nevertheless worth noting that the framework is in excess large, also on the new model. If nothing else it gives more room for your fingers when you hold it, or switches between nettbrett- and portable mode.

Something else Microsoft has done to save money is to not include stepless adjustment of the kick stand – Surface 3 has only three levels. It should however be enough for most people.

Probably good enough performance
It is the price Microsoft emphasizes here, it costs the $ 499 in the States. It’s pretty nice, especially considering that it is free-upgraded to Windows 10 in the fall, and that this is a tablet and a laptop.

We must admit we quickly became skeptical when we heard that this model has only 2GB of RAM, but after testing it seems to work fine. It is “snappy” enough.

Still Pro models for those who need Photoshop and other slightly more demanding tasks, but this we think is a nice machine for writing, browsing and email, but you have to fork out for keyboard too. About not only a heavy Surface tablet.

The design is unchanged, although it is very slightly thinner and somewhat lighter. The latter, we could not see with the naked eye.
