Cook “deeply offended” by new documentary – ITavisen.no

The BBC claims Apple’s partner abusing workers.

A while back it was Apple manufacturer Foxconn which was in the spotlight for poor working conditions, Now the BBC has zeros in on another Apple manufacturer in China, namely Pegatron.

BBC Hard Apple criticism
BBC claims namely Apple contractor Pegatron treats their workers twinge in strik with Apple’s policy and accuses Apple of not rectify.

In the documentary we see a hidden camera filming workers who fall asleep at the workplace, which can be fatal if they should fall on machines and electrical equipment.

Pegatron will also have seized on the workers’ personal ID card.

Apple upset
Apple has been very quick on ball, no wonder: BBC is a name with credibility and documentary is free to watch online in UK

They claim that they submitted facts and perspectives that contradicts much of what is claimed in the documentary, but that the BBC omitted this.

This emerged in an email sent by operational and operational responsible Jeff Williams to 5000 Apple employees in the UK.

In the email (which you can read in its entirety at 9to5Mac) writes Williams that he and Cook are very offended the fresh BBC documentary.

“Panaroma documentary suggesting that Apple not improve conditions for workers. Let me tell you that nothing could be further from the truth. “
