Now this is the most widely used version of Android – ITavisen.no

Android 6.0 almost doubles the market share.

Recent figures from Android Developers shows that Android 5 Lollipop for the first time is the most widely used version of Google’s mobile operating system.

Lollipop on top
until now it is version 4.4 KitKat that has the most widespread version, but figures from last week shows that it reaches a market share of 34.3 against Lollipops 36.1 percent.

Android 4.4 was launched 31 . October 2013, while 5.0 was released on October 28 the following year. 5.1, which is the most widespread version of Lollipop, was launched just over a year ago.

6.0-progress
The latest version of Android, 6.0, almost doubling its market share from 1.2 to 2.3 percent, but still minuscule market share five months after launch. This is largely due to several new mobiles comes with older Android versions while the rollout of 6.0 runs in a be depressed pace.

In mid-February announced Samsung that their Galaxy S6 phones will get Android 6.0 in during March, which definitely will give rise in the market share of Android 6.0. On Friday also launched Galaxy S7 with Android 6.0 on board.
