Moto G and Moto X is the name of the first mobile models that the company Motorola Mobility launched after they were bought by Google in 2012. Since then, Motorola has been taken over by Chinese Lenovo, and in 2014 became the second generation of mobiles released. Now the third generation arrived.
It happened during a live event recently, where Motorola pulled the veil of the new Moto G and Moto X. The latter comes in two different versions, christened ‘Style’ and ‘Play “Style of which version is the most costly.
As the previous editions are new Moto G a relatively inexpensive mobile which aims to provide much value. The screen has the same specifications as the previous generation, that a size of 5 inches and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Can submerse
The processor however upgraded to a quad-core Snapdragon 410 chip at 1.4 GHz, and otherwise gives mobile on 1GB of memory and 8 GB of storage, but a version with 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage will also be available.
Further signs new Moto G with a rear camera of 13 megapixels, a front camera of 5 megapixels and a battery of 2750 mAh. It has a so-called IPX7 certification, which means it can withstand being submerged in one meter deep water for up to 30 minutes. Like the previous generations can also choose between the covers in many different colors.
big brother Moto X comes thus in Style- and Play edition, of which the former is the most costly. Screen sizes are respectively 5.7 and 5.5 inches, up from 5.2 inches on the previous generation. Play version offers full HD resolution, while the Style edition slaps with QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Large battery on Play version
The latter has otherwise a Snapdragon 808 processor at 1.8 GHz, 3GB of memory, up to 64GB of storage expandable to 128 GB via microSD, a rear camera in the entire 21-megapixel front camera of 5 megapixels. The battery has been upgraded to 3000 mAh.
Play version has a slightly more modest Snapdragon 615 processor at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of memory and up to 32GB of storage. It has the same camera as Style edition, but the battery is actually greater, with its 3630 mAh. The model is also splash-proof, but not waterproof.
Moto G goes on sale in the coming days for a suggested price of Norwegian ca. 1900 kr. Moto X Play comes in August and will cost around £ 3,300, while the most expensive Moto X Style version released in September for a suggested retail price of approximately 4300 respectively.
