Facebook published a new version of its iOS app this weekend, without explanation as to what was actually new. Now it turns out that one of the news is that the app has received an expanded image editor.
According to The Verge, it looks like they have drawn inspiration from snapchat – service which Facebook reportedly tried to buy 18.5 billion in 2013.
The next time you post a photo on Facebook, you will discover an animated icon in the top left corner. Press here, you will get another row with different filters, tag button, trimming function, text and labels. Several labels can be downloaded from Facebooks’ Label shop. “
The Verge reports that the Android users will probably get the same editing features as iPhone users soon.
The new image features have not been rolled out for Facebook Messenger just yet. Perhaps the reason is that Facebook launched its own label app called stickered last year.
