on Wednesday afternoon, Norwegian time started Tesla and Panasonic’s mass production of battery cells at the Gigafactory in Nevada.
the Factory is expected to become the world’s largest building, and will in 2018 annually produce 35 gigawatt hours battery cells, which is equivalent to the rest of the world’s batteriproduksjon overall, the report Tesla.
the Gigafactory will accommodate the mass production of lithium-ion battery cells, together with Tesla’s langtidsparter Panasonic.
Cell “2170″ are cylindrical, and designed to give the best performance at the lowest possible production cost.
the Production at the Gigafactory is expected to decrease batterikostnadene with more than 30 percent, writes Reuters.
the form factor of the new battericellene is optimal both for electric vehicles and energy products, writes Tesla in a press release.

mass production: Battericellene that is to be produced at the factory will in the aggregate constitute the world’s batteriproduksjon.
the Cells that are produced today will be used in the energilagringsløsningene Tesla Powerwall 2 and Tesla Control 2. Celleproduksjon to the Model 3 begins in the second quarter.
the Gigafactory will be built out in phases, but the production will start immediately in the final sections of the factory.
The present building has a total area of 455.200 square meters, spread over several floors. As of today, less than 30 per cent of the total area completed.
the Completion will make the factory to the world’s largest building.

HUGE: Building is only 30 percent completed, but has already an area of over 455.200 square meters.
