Tim Sweeney denies.
Epic Games programmer and one of the mesterhjernene behind the Unreal Engine, Tim Sweeney, the attacker once again Microsoft for what he thinks is dirty tricks.
Harsh criticism
Sweeney is not afraid to air what he thinks about Microsoft (hint: not positive things), and now he is on the warpath again when he claims that the Windows Cloud, the new OS from Microsoft (which is not yet officially confirmed) that will run Windows Store apps.
It is still uncertain whether Microsoft is going to lock down the version so that it is not possible to install Win32 applications, i.e. to run .exe-files, or if Microsoft don’t touch the feature in the leaked version that makes it possible to “sideloade” Win32 applications.
– whose purpose is to lock us out!
Sweeney has all the time meant that the Windows Store, Windows 10, and now the Cloud in combination with the UWP (Universal Windows Platform) has the purpose to lock out the competition so that Microsoft can determine what should be installed on the machines.
Apple has its own Mac App Store, but allows the installation of all sorts of Mac programs, including those that are downloaded from the net and not verified if one opens up for this in the settings.
