This makes no sense.
We have previously described the 16GB models of iPhone and iPad unnecessary. They simply not enough room for content.
Strange
CNET’ve come across a mildly surprising solution to the problem, at least parts of it. It turns out that users can release several hundred MB with this one.
How it works:
Via iTunes on the device: Try downloading any movie that exceeds the number of GB you have available on your iOS device. CNET recommends LOTR: The Two Towers as it is at 6.83 GB.
Since you do not have the space to film brings up an alert informing you of this. Go to Settings – General – About and suddenly you have more storage than before. Actual hundreds MB.
Releasing hundreds MB
CNET shall have freed around 400MB extra on their iPhone 5c and they recommend repeating the process for a better result.
Give speak up in the comments if you have a 16GB iOS device and trick worked for you.
