There is no doubt that Samsung’s Galaxy phones are a great success.

Yet they sell not far enough to satisfy investors and analysts.
Samsung And even now say they expect a decline in revenues (quarterly operating profit) by 60 percent when figures for Q3 exist.
Two reasons
reason is partly Apple and the iPhone, part Chinese cheap phones from giant Lenovo and for us lesser known Xiaomi.
The problem is the smart phone market is divided into two: Apple and the iPhone at the top, for those who can afford it.

And phones in the completely reasonable end (down to a few hundred in India and China), which in practice does exactly the same as the Galaxy phones and looks almost as good (but technically falls enough to hold everything – especially the camera part).
One example is the Firefox phone Intex Cloud FX, sold for the equivalent 227 Norwegian kroner in India. As this test shows is unlikely phone satisfy affluent, discerning Norwegians.
But for an Indian or Chinese with a fraction of the Norwegian average wages who want a smartphone is undoubtedly a more tempting offer than Galaxy S5.
The rich will have iPhone
