English captain was fired after allegations of sexual harassment – Dagbladet.no

An experienced pilot in English were grounded in April after the company shall have revealed five cases of sexual harassment over a few years, writes Today’s Business.

The case started with an actual event between the pilot and a female cabin crew in April. Then came several other female employees with similar stories.

The pilot acknowledges that he is giving women compliments, and he loves to give “bear hugs”, but argues that this is not sexually motivated, type DN.

Norwegian justifies dismissal of the captain of that flight safety is threatened as a result of the labor dispute.

The pilot himself says to DN that argument aviation safety is not the real reason he is put on the ground, but that the dismissal has experience in other labor.

The pilot tried to have the opportunity to fly in through an injunction in court, but did not succeed in this.

The court concluded that Norwegian is within their rights to take the pilot out of the service in the interests of flight safety, but has not taken a position on the resignation or allegations of sexual harassment.

The pilot must pay Norwegian court costs of 90,000 dollars.

English says to Dagbladet that they do not want to comment because it is a personnel matter.
