Iver Horrem finished as beach volleyball pro – NRK

183 World Tour tournaments, 1 OL, 6 World Championships, 13 European Championship participation are some of the numbers behind a long and eventful career.

Iver Horrem made it clear in June that this season would be the last one. The final goal was to go to the Olympics in Rio, but the ticket slipped because he and his partner Geir Eithun.

– I would also take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me as a performer, hope I have given you more joys than sorrows, says Horrem.

Already today starts Horrem new job. Going forward, he working as a marketing manager in Norwegian Volleyball Federation.

– I’m glad for the opportunity to further developing Norwegian volleyball, a sport I have a big heart and commitment, he said.

NVBFs President Eirik Sørdahl and Generalsækretær Kristian Gjerdstadberget am glad that Horrem joins further connected.

– I am very glad that Iver join the team further. With his broad experience, knowledge, networking and personality have NVBF gained a strong “marketer” of the Norwegian Volleyball, says Sørdahl.

– Iver has already shown what he can achieve and have many plans for marketing and communication activities in NVBF. He also has a good knowledge and understanding of Norwegian farming, NVBF and working in an organization. We look forward to Iver is in place at Ullevål to contribute to the community and for Norwegian Volleyballs future, says Gjerdstadberget.
