However, Microsoft has previously warned that the deployment will be gradual, first for the testers who have been part of the Insider program, so for those who have booked the update via an offer that appeared on the screen earlier in the summer, so for all others.
Thus, it can take days, if not longer, before anyone will be early with Windows 10 actually get the operating system.
Refresh yourself
However, there are ways to force the update if one is impatient.
Microsoft has namely posted a tool they call for Media Creation Tool. It is uncomplicated: You choose whether to have 32-bit or 64-bit installation of Windows 10, and thus loads down a small program.
This program is intended to bring down ISO version of Windows 10, so as to have an installable file. This can be automatically added onto a USB stick or burn onto a DVD, which can then be used to install from. One must have a valid license key to install the operating system, of course.
Interestingly enough, one can also initiate upgrade to Windows 10 from the same tool, the machine you are running from. It assumes that you are running Windows 7 or 8.x.
digi.no tried to carry out the upgrade on a computer where we had not reserved Windows 10 using this tool. It was painless and quick and after about 25 minutes were brand new Windows 10 loaded.

Microsoft also points out that all those who have participated in Windows Insider program and to submit a version of Windows 10 10240, already finished version installed – but they must still run a quick update to bring down some patches that have come in recent days .
And that’s regardless of high probability that fixes and patches will continue to be closely in the days ahead – the company make it after all clear that Windows 10 as it stands today is just the beginning, and will be updated regularly . Our experience with the operating system is that it is not completely bugfritt as it appears on launch day.
