Dinside.no: The Chinese company Oppo is known to many for making expensive Blu-ray players, but they also make other things, like headsets and mobile phones.
As recently as this summer, we tested Find 7 of the said manufacturer, and then we actually ended up giving the phone a six on the dice. Earlier this year we tested the Oppo N1 which admittedly did not get as good references.
4,85mm thin
But newcomer Oppo R5 arouse justified attention with its very thin outer: The phone measures just over 4,85mm waist – a full two millimeters smaller than the iPhone 6
It is so thin that Oppo has found it necessary to drop the 3.5mm output for headphones.
Should listen music with headphones, you therefore have to use a transition to protrude into the micro USB port.
Quickly charges
Apropos micro USB port is also R5 equipped with so-called VOOC charging to Find 7 also. The charger that comes with is stronger than usual, which means that the phone can be charged from 0-75 per cent in half an hour, a trait we set very appreciated when we tested the latter.
In order to avoid problems with heat is Oppo R5 equipped with cooling technology in the form of heat absorbing material inside.
Not top specified
Otherwise, the phone is not as well specified as top models. On the inside you get a 615 1,5GHz Snapdragon processor (eight cores), 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory and 2000mAh battery. It should nevertheless be powerful enough to shoot in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.
The screen is 5.2 inches big and has full HD resolution. The phone has not, however, support for memory cards.
On the camera front the phone has a backlit Sony sensor on the back with 13MP resolution, aperture of f / 2.0, while the front camera boasts the same aperture and 5MP resolution.
More information can be found on Oppos sites. As far as we can see, the phone is not on sale yet.
