Apple dealer Eplehuset Norway announced yesterday that the Company on September 1 acquires Humac eight stores in Norway. Eplehuset will then have a total of 20 stores in Norway.
– We have shown healthy operations and profitability in Norway through 12 years of the world’s strongest brands in our stores. Through this move, we ensure both growth and profitability for the company in future, not to mention increased accessibility for customers through these new stores, says principal owner and CEO, Bjørn Tore Brevik in a statement.
The acquisition is justified as the consumer electronics market is under constant pressure of fierce competition, and that there is a natural strategic development to create further consolidation in the market.
– Apple House also has great strength on the service side where we handle a large share of service work for Apple Customers in Norway. With the acquisition of the servicing dealer from Humac also strengthened this commitment further, says Brevik.
The acquisition includes all employees in the stores, the service facility and business unit but not Humac Norwegian headquarters and administration.

Apple House is a Norwegian owned company headquartered in Trondheim. Humac Norway is owned by Inventive Retail Group. The chain was established in 1994 with the name Mac & amp; Carry.
