When new equipment is launched for passenger cars, it is usually the premium brands which are the first. So it is not this time. Hyundai Sonata is the very first car model out with Android Auto.

In a press release says Hyundai that the new system will ensure that the driver can access their smartphone via the vehicle display and other integrated features such as Bluetooth and voice recognition. Apps, such b. Excl. navigation, music, travel information, etc. are updated automatically.

By phone technology becomes more accessible, the system can also contribute to improved road safety. Android Auto allows the driver to keep his eyes and attention on the road, rather than on the smartphone which is otherwise locked while driving.
